Mia works in a small café near the train station. Every morning, she sees a blue umbrella by the door. It is always there, even on sunny days.
One Monday, Mia puts a note on the umbrella. The note says, 'Is this your umbrella?' At lunch, a young man comes in. He reads the note and smiles.
'It is my mother's umbrella,' he says. 'She comes here every Friday. She likes your coffee. She is in the hospital this week, so I am here for her.'
Mia makes him two cups of coffee. 'One for you,' she says, 'and one for your mother.' The man takes the cups and the blue umbrella. On Friday, the umbrella is back by the door. This time, his mother is holding it.
